@fizzyizzy05 If I got a nickel for all the assholes I run into I wouldn't need to ask for donos lol. Big problem, ye @fizzyizzy05 They're way too comfortable with being rude to newcomers/strangers. π₯΄ @fizzyizzy05@tech.lgbt Agreed. There's a host of people who lionized Linus' manchild behavior and/or took an elitist stance on linux. It's a problem for the success of the OS. @fizzyizzy05 Had to leave Lemmy because of this. Shame because Reddit desperately needs a viable alternative, federated or not. @fizzyizzy05 Brodie's recent video about Sonny Piers has a bunch of comments that are just "omg it was the wokes/rainbow mafia" and he doesn't bother to take any action against them, and it's upsetting to see. There's way too much tolerance for bigotry and taking action against it is seen as "attacking free speech." Where can I go if I want to learn more about the so called Linux community and their assholes? @fizzyizzy05 Open source has always been this way from the start. Iβm hoping we can get a new open source movement that is a lot friendlier going. Thereβs some really cool people out there and Iβd rather they get the attention. That and the younger generations needs to take over anyways, time for a positive change. |
@fizzyizzy05 Not really a hot take, IMO. ;)
