@matteofortini @gnome What did I miss? When was this change added? I've been using GNOME with fractional scaling (on Wayland) for a long time, and font rendering has looked suboptimal in certain places (e.g. the Console app).

@cbrnr @gnome I've noticed it in the latest Gnome 46 update on Debian. The effect was as if someone had cleaned a dirty screen. Some info here linuxfordevices.com/tutorials/

@matteofortini @gnome Nice, thanks! Text was never blurry for me, it's just that it wasn't always rendered properly (e.g. 1 row of pixels cut off from the top etc.). I've been using GNOME 46 for some time now and haven't really noticed an improvement, but I'll take a closer look now!
