Gregory's Server@mcc I get you. I am bound to using gnome for a longer period of time atm. It really is embarrassing. I do not think its a distro but rather a gnome thing.
All the people i migrated from Windows to Linux in the past 3 years i have started with KDE neon. No complains so far. Ranging Business to private laptops.
switching distros is not too much pain. If you keep your entire /home/$USER/ directory you only need to reinstall the applications and all your settings/sessions/bookmarks/data is there.
@mcc I personally boot three distros (at it were 12) all with one $HOME with minor to none issues.
Some messengers don't like changing hostnames for example. But it really is minimal.
You can install the other distro without the need to alter the first install. Linux isn't a dualboot showstopper like Windows is.
