this is not helping the "user unfriendly" issue, but I might have a fix for the suspend thing, I'll get back to you when I'm at a keyboard (about to shower)

some of the amd boards have issues where they hang when suspending if you have an nvme drive, I *thought* it was unique to b550/650 motherboards but it's probably worth a shot and easy to test. (searching `b550 gpp0 suspend` will get you hits if i forget about this)
