@mcc I nearly said I didn't have the issue with firefox but I did spend lot of time and struggle to install the non-snap version. Truly a miserable process just to get the package like in most other linux.
@fabrice@veronica@mcc that deb should be in ubuntu repo. When I use apt I expect to get a deb. Giving me a snap when using apt is a gross exploitation if my trust
@gkrnours@mcc That's why I use Mint. It has the hardware support of Ubuntu, but doesn't force snaps. The Mint team maintain their own traditional builds of Firefox and Thunderbird. 3rd party software built for Ubuntu just works too.
@gkrnours They do at least have deb packages now. I refuse to use snaps.
