About by PCalc for visionOS is now available! Perhaps the most pointless app on Vision Pro, but still quite fun to play with. This is a complete remake of the original PCalc About screen in VR. It's basically me experimenting with what's possible today with RealityKit, over-engineering things as usual, and then for some inexplicable reason actually shipping it. Here are some more screenshots showing the actual About by PCalc interface in action on visionOS. The main controls have virtual joysticks, but there's a list of gestures you can assign to each hand, including a point and teleport option for people who don't enjoy fast movement in VR. Gamepads are fully supported too. You can also just choose between some points of interest and take in the sights. The settings let you tailor things a bit if you want the controls in a slightly different place. I should have probably mentioned that it's free. I'm as bad at marketing, as I am at charging for stuff. @whatthecj I do not. Well, there's one in PCalc! I didn't want the stress of having to make something with this that people would actually pay for.  @kjhealy @jamesthomson on spatial computing, he makes it up in volume. on iOS, he makes it up in area. At least I put a "Get PCalc" button it in, to appease the marketing department. So consider this a very (very) expensive advert for PCalc and my personal brand of committing to the bit. On the other hand, I have learned an awful lot about RealityKit, and I have a list of things I would like to see introduced next month.  @jamesthomson in this scenario, who exactly is the marketing department? Your partner, the accountant, an imaginary friend, a fight club situation, another you in the multiverse? @jamesthomson Congrats on getting it out!
