30 years on Windows and I felt like I was learning right the way through that. When I ran Windows 10 I had Windows update screw up so badly it took me six months to fix it, which required investment of significant time during the period looking for a solution. That was an outlier but over the course of those years I never stopped learning, mostly driven by having to troubleshoot issues that arose.
Linux isn't any more difficult to learn or use. You just have to overcome the inertia of people letting go of accumulated learning to start relatively anew. If Windows users can adapt to Android/IOS they can adapt to Linux.
