With #Manjaro upgrading to #Plasma 6, users got blessed with #Wayland sessions being the default.

My results, on several machines: a desktop that is dysfunctional in many places; issues with monitors awakening from sleep; and applications no longer reacting to HID inputs, after a resume from a screen lock, or a power suspend.

I fail to see how this could be considered production-ready, by any standard.

It should never have been rolled out as the default setting, at this point in time.

@tuxwise Assuming you made the nessecary bug-reports of your issues to the appropriate channels, In general, I hope you are not saying that X.org is the way of the future.
I have used, and am using, Wayland based distro's (including #Manjaro ) both with #kde #plasma 5 and 6.
Wrt multi monitor use, I can see that it works well with all current systems I have. I don't see much wake-suspend issues either, allthough I do know these from the past.
Hope you get things resolved!

@matv1

Sure, though most of the issues are long-standing bugs that I already keep bookmarked.

Certainly not saying X.org is the future. But I am saying that I do not see how most users that I am supporting would have been able to resolve the issues that have been imposed on them, by this rollout.

@tuxwise Did you try creating a new user and trying with a fresh session? Of course the upgrade should work for existing users, but that might help narrow down where the problem lies.
