I just finished my first playthrough of Slay the Princess last night, an horror-themed visual novel by Black Tabby Games — https://www.blacktabbygames.com/
I don’t like horror games.
I don’t like visual novels at all.
Yet, for some strange reason, I loved my experience with this one. I am already planning to do a couple other playthroughs to see more branches and endings (but not right now, other games are already waiting).
By the way, don’t buy it on Steam. A DRM-free build is available from gog.com, despite not being advertised on the developers website. And you can try a free demo from itch.io.
