@HopelessDemigod @luny @danielalbu My friend Paul ran into Wesley Willis in Chicago in the early 90s. Wesley was selling his self-produced CDs for $10. Paul asked him if he had change for a $20 bill, and Wesley said, “That’s OK, you’ll take two.” So Paul gave me one. It’s genius. Disturbed, but genius. You have to check him out. But you won’t get the vibe until you listened to 4-5 songs. Trust me. The motto comes from this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JntDcqOxMsM Wesley Willis was a musician from Chicago who wrote & performed ridiculous music to help him deal with his paranoid schizophrenia. "Cut the mullet" and "I Wupped Batman's Ass" are also funny. @danielalbu winamp was my favorite media player for so long! :ablobcatheadphones: @danielalbu haha!!! Before I read the end of your post I had that tagline in my head 😂 @danielalbu Fun fact from my workplace: DeviantArt started out as a WinAmp skins site, and there are still references to llamas all over. Loading animations are bouncing llamas, you can trade llama badges with other artists, even the 404 page has a llama lost in space. @danielalbu @danielalbu none of modern music media players have been able to reach winamp's usability. I loved winamp's play queue versatility. |
@danielalbu Does anyone know the link to Llamas? Was the author a fan of Jeff Minter? Did they have a farm? Why was there whippin' involved? 😆
