I improvised a lot and there's a bunch of room for experimentation, but the custard is basically unsweetened coconut milk + plant milk of choice (i used rice milk) + vanilla extract + maple syrup, and then you thicken that with a starch slurry or flour (but not too much), and chill overnight. the crust is store-bought puff pastry bc i'm lazy. bake at whatever the highest temp is in your oven for a few minutes. |
